Microsoft Power Platform: Setup a Trial Environment
In last article we learnt, how to setup a tenant for Microsoft Power Platform. If you haven’t read that article yet, I would recommend you to go through that article first — Microsoft Power Platform: Setup Tenant.
Today we are going to learn — How to Create a trial environment with database in Microsoft Power Platform Admin Portal.
Step 1: Sign in
Nevigate to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/environments
On the Environments page, sign in with the test account’s e-mail (Microsoft Account) you created for this tenant domain.
Step 2: Add a database
- Select Environments from the tab bar (Note: you may need to expand the Left Navigation bar options to see it). Then select your automatically created environment. Select default.
2. Select Add database.
3. Specify values in the Create a database for this environment dialog box. Use these values:
- Currency: USD
- Language: English
- Then click Add
Your environment will be ready after the database is provisioned.
Note: creating a database may take up to one minute.
Note: You may be asked to sign in again.
If you see below screen or other Power Apps signup page, just click “Trail” in the red banner, follow the instruction to sign in one more time, then repeat step above starting from Step 1 — Nevigate to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com and repeat Create my database.
4. After you clicked the Create my database, you can see the database provisioning progress.
Warning: Your data and any changes will be deleted as soon as it completes 29 days of its trial. It is recommended to save your work to use in another environment by exporting your work as a solution after you finish your work.
That’s it!!
