If you are reading this article, you must be interested about how to become a LinkedIn Top Voice. As I was just awarded this badge for being an excellent contributor, I firmly believe I am the most qualified one to lead you to Top Voice. In addition, a lot of people questioned me about how I had earned it. To address this query for everyone, I therefore made the decision to write this article.

Members on LinkedIn have the ability to earn one of two versions of Top Voices badging on their profile, either as part of the LinkedIn Top Voices or the Community Top Voices programs. The gold Community Top Voices badge recognizes noteworthy contributors who share their expertise and experience in a specific skill or skills through contributions to collaborative articles (for example, Top Sales Voice). The Community Top Voices program is separate from the invitation-only Top Voices program, which has different criteria.

You can earn a Community Top Voice badge when members find you to be one of the most noteworthy contributors to collaborative articles for a particular skill. To earn a badge, you’re typically in the top 5% of contributors and one of the first 2500 badge holders for a particular skill. Quality contributions contain but are not limited to, personal examples, unique perspectives, and professional opinions. You can earn badges for multiple skills. One badge will be shown on your profile; you may choose which badge is displayed if you have multiple. There is no limit to the number of skills for which you can earn a badge.

Badges will stay on your profile for 60 days as long as you stay in good standing, and you must continue to stay in the top 5% of that skill in order to keep it beyond that 60 day period.

Here are 7 steps to be a LinkedIn Top Voice

1) Choose your skill

Select the most applicable skill from the list below, click the link, and the appropriate LinkedIn page will appear. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/topics/home

2) Get Collaborating

Choose a collaborative article that fits your area of expertise and offer your viewpoint. Every article is divided into several sections that let you delve deeper.

3) Be Unique

Make your contribution stand out by drawing on your personal experiences and insights; LinkedIn wants to know about your distinct viewpoint.

4) Acknowledge others

Like and respond to the comments made by other contributors!

5) Be Consistent

Continue as you are! This is not going to occur quickly. So keep interacting and keep adding your viewpoint.

6) Tell everyone

In order to keep the badge beyond 60 days, your contributions must remain relevant, and original, and other LinkedIn members must continue to find your contributions within that particular skill set insightful.

7) Keep it

Once you’ve earned your badge, shout it from the rooftops, put it on your CV and do a LinkedIn post about it!

Clap, Comment and Share this article.
